This is a regular, full-time position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, covering 80 hours over two weeks. The position requires every other weekend and every other holiday shift work, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to continuous care and operation. The hourly pay range for this role is $18.00 to $22.00, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.\n\nIn this role, the housekeeper is responsible for diligently cleaning various hospital areas such as patient rooms, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, restrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobbies. The position also involves stocking cleaning supplies, managing cleaning carts, and participating in a variety of cleaning activities including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. In addition to cleaning duties, the housekeeper serves as a resource to other staff members, stepping into a leadership capacity when supervisory personnel are unavailable. This includes managing workloads and delegating tasks to fellow team members, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient cleaning operations.\n\nThis role requires individuals with prior housekeeping experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies including paper towels and toilet paper
  • Maintains stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintains good customer relations by demonstrating good rapport and cooperative working relationships with employees, departments, coworkers, and pertinent staff
  • Manages workload and delegates tasks as needed to other staff members
  • Maintains competency and serves as a resource to staff members when leadership is not available
