Job Requirements
- Ability to work specified night shift hours
- Prior housekeeping experience
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to comply with safety principles, laws, regulations including CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
- Ability to manage workload and delegate tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Related housekeeping experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Maintains a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
- Participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
- Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies including paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintains stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
- Maintains good customer relations by demonstrating good rapport and cooperative working relationships with employees, departments, coworkers, and pertinent staff
- Manages workload and delegates tasks as needed to other staff members
- Maintains competency and serves as a resource to staff members when leadership is not available
