The Lead Housekeeper role at St. Pauls Towers is a pivotal position within the Housekeeping Department, designed to support the Housekeeping Supervisor and Director of Housekeeping. This role involves overseeing and performing a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility, which is essential for the health and well-being of residents. The Lead Housekeeper acts as a key point of contact within the department, coordinating tasks, managing inventory, and assisting with staff supervision. This position works closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely responses to any housekeeping needs.
The role offers a work schedule from Thursday to Saturday between 10am and 6:30pm and provides a competitive pay range of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. The Lead Housekeeper helps maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment by performing daily cleaning tasks including laundry oversight, supply monitoring, and direct housekeeping duties. They also play a critical role in training new employees and providing ongoing support and in-service education to housekeeping staff. The Lead Housekeeper ensures compliance with safety standards by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
Beyond routine cleaning, the role involves managing the housekeeping team in the absence of the direct supervisor, coordinating work assignments, addressing resident queries, and responding to emergency situations efficiently. Job Requirements
- Education with equivalent qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- Experience in housekeeping or related field
- Ability to work Thursday to Saturday between 10am and 6:30pm
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Willingness to participate in safety programs
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check

- Assist in training new hires and provide in-service education
- Make reports on staff performance and housekeeping issues
