Job Description
Universal Health Services (UHS) is one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services. With a strong legacy of growth and community commitment, UHS operates a wide range of facilities including acute care hospitals, behavioral health centers, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care access points, as well as insurance offerings and physician networks across the U.S., including Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and the United Kingdom. Known for its dedication to excellence and patient care, UHS has consistently been recognized among the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune and ranked in Forbes lists of America’s Largest Public Companies. The organization prides itself on fostering an environment of mutual respect and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, or other protected statuses.
Corona Regional Medical Center, a part of UHS, exemplifies this commitment to healthcare. Established initially as Corona Community Hospital in 1965, it has grown alongside its rapidly expanding community, merging with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 to become a 238-bed network. This network features a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. Certified by The Joint Commission, the facility employs over 1,250 healthcare professionals and houses a sizable medical staff of about 347 physicians across 40 specialties. This robust infrastructure empowers Corona Regional to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care in a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Lead Environmental Services (EVS) Housekeeper role at Corona Regional Medical Center is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety essential in a healthcare environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Environmental Services, the Lead EVS Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning patient and non-patient care areas following strict schedules and approved procedures. This position ensures that all hospital environments are hygienic, safe, and conducive to healing by properly managing waste, including trash, biohazardous materials, and soiled linen. The role also involves operating specialized cleaning equipment for maintaining hard surface and carpeted floors.
This position offers full-time employment with competitive compensation ranging from $23.91 to $35.87 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role within the healthcare team. Working in this role provides the opportunity to contribute directly to patient wellbeing and hospital operations while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time employees have access to tuition reimbursement, career development across UHS’s 300 plus locations, and a wide array of employee health and wellness programs including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, discounted stock purchase options, Pet Insurance, and access to a Student Loan Refinancing Program through SoFi. This role is ideal for individuals with prior hospital housekeeping experience looking to advance their careers in a supportive and respected healthcare environment that values inclusion, safety, and professional growth.
