River Vista Behavioral Health is a newly established behavioral health facility located along the scenic bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River in the Central Valley. This brand-new, 128-bed hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to both residents and visitors in the region. As part of a community-focused initiative, the hospital aims to deliver compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals struggling with various mental health challenges. The role of Lead, Housekeeping at River Vista Behavioral Health is a critical position within the Housekeeping/Plant Operations Team. This full-time role requires a hardworking and dedicated individual who will supervise skilled and semi-skilled housekeeping personnel to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the hospital. The Lead, Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, training new housekeepers, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, and performing administrative duties such as scheduling and record-keeping. This leadership role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient and staff safety. Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- two years lead or supervisory experience
- valid driver’s license
- knowledge of The Joint Commission standards
- knowledge of OSHA regulations
- knowledge of patient rights standards
- understanding of federal and state mental health care laws and regulations
- ability to supervise and train housekeeping staff
- capability to perform administrative duties including scheduling and budgeting
- good customer service skills
- willingness to use personal protective equipment and universal precautions
- ability to complete ongoing education in plant technology and safety management
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- two years lead or supervisory experience

- strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards
- familiarity with federal and state laws governing mental health care facilities

Job Duties
- Assist in interviews, evaluations and hiring potential housekeeping employees in cooperation with the Human Resources Department
- orient new housekeeping staff to all departmental policies, procedures and expectations
- train new housekeeping staff in diplomatic manner in association with Human Resources and Director of Plant Operations
- prepare housekeeping schedules for staff
- make work assignments to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility
- check progress and completion of assigned tasks
- maintain employee attendance records
- assist Plant Operations Director that the buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained
- perform routine checks of buildings and grounds to ensure that the building is safe, clean and well maintained
- perform administrative duties as requested
- prepare and maintain budgets for housekeeping and ensure that housekeeping department complies with all state and regulatory agency requirements
- understand individual and departmental responsibilities for safety and infection control
- always use personal protective equipment as defined in housekeeping safety policies and procedures
- always use universal precautions when in contact with bodily fluids
- complete ongoing education in the area of Plant Technology and Safety Management
- provide the best customer service experience
