Known for its culture of excellence and continual growth, Lee Health offers various career opportunities for professionals passionate about making a difference in healthcare.
The Environmental Services Department at Lee Health plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the healthcare environment, which directly impacts patient care and staff well-being. As part of this team, the Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of housekeeping within assigned areas, ensuring that hygiene and cleanliness standards meet regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
This full-time, second-shift position (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM) is based at the Lee Health facility located at 2776 Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901. The role offers a competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.50 to $24.09, reflecting the importance of leadership and operational expertise required. The supervisor not only manages staff but also actively participates in housekeeping duties as necessary, ensuring hands-on leadership and support during their shift.
Key responsibilities include directing the daily activities of the housekeeping team, monitoring departmental operations, and stepping in to resolve patient concerns. The supervisor is also tasked with staff training, conducting performance assessments, providing coaching, and documenting behaviors and performance issues. Acting as a point of contact in the absence of higher supervisors, this position demands strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
