This full-time position for a Lead Housekeeper is designed to support the management team by overseeing the daily operational functions of the housekeeping department. The Lead Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in maintaining optimal cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to company policies. This role requires the individual to work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and leadership in coordinating housekeeping tasks and training staff members. Additionally, the Lead Housekeeper collaborates closely with the maintenance technician to execute preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.

The position includes responsibilities such as inspecting guest rooms, overseeing the maintenance of housekeeping carts and laundry areas, and motivating team members to achieve company goals. The Lead Housekeeper is also instrumental in scheduling housekeeping assignments and assisting with various duties in both housekeeping and laundry departments as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or related field
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100 percent commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates
  • Trains new and existing housekeepers, inspects guest rooms, and adheres to company standards, policies and procedures
  • Ensures housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas are maintained to company standard
  • Works directly with the maintenance engineer to perform the guest room preventative maintenance/deep cleaning
  • Performs daily housekeeping tasks in guest rooms and weekend out of room cleaning as needed
  • Responsible for overall hotel cleanliness
  • Motivates and drives company initiatives within the department
  • Completes all required and annual ESU Training
