This full-time, non-management position within the Housekeeping and Laundry department specifically involves playing a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms after cleaning, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards. You will complete detailed checklists and paperwork regarding room cleanliness, room status, and departmental reporting. The role requires entering guest rooms with strict adherence to hotel protocols while responding swiftly to requests from guests and other hotel departments. You will also assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and mentoring housekeeping staff, thereby acting as a role model for team members. Maintaining professionalism in appearance and behavior, supporting team goals, and promoting a safe work environment are essential duties. This position demands physical agility, the ability to handle moderate lifting, and efficient use of manual skills to operate equipment and handle daily housekeeping tasks. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Enter the status of cleaned rooms on assignment sheets
  • complete checklists to report cleanliness and condition of assigned areas
  • complete required paperwork for the Housekeeping Department
  • identify room assignments and the type of cleaning needed for each
  • inspect guest rooms after they have been cleaned by the housekeeping staff
  • respond promptly to guest and other department requests
  • enter guest rooms following proper procedures and ensuring the room is unoccupied
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • comply with all company security policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • maintain a clean and professional appearance and uniform
  • protect company information and assets
  • support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • work at the speed required for the job including walking and moving quickly
  • inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects
  • use computers or point of sale systems to input and locate work-related information
  • handle objects up to 55 pounds and more with assistance
  • push and pull maintenance carts loaded over uneven surfaces
  • stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
