Job Description

Wente Family Estates is a renowned luxury winery that embodies a rich heritage and commitment to excellence in both wine production and visitor experience. Established as a pivotal player in the wine industry, Wente Family Estates combines tradition, sophistication, and innovation to provide guests with exceptional tastings and estate experiences. The winery is not only a leader in sustainable viticulture but also a destination where hospitality and wine culture converge to create unforgettable moments for visitors. With a focus on environmental, social, and financial sustainability, the estate champions its core values known as RISE: Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, and Excellence. These values underscore every aspect of the estate's operation and team ethos, fostering a workplace where quality, authenticity, and hospitality flourish. Wente Family Estates is dedicated to delivering high-touch, personalized service by employing a well-trained and passionate team committed to upholding the brand’s esteemed reputation throughout all touchpoints of the guest journey.

The Lead Host/Concierge role at Wente Family Estates is a dynamic leadership position crucial to setting the tone for a refined and seamless guest experience. This position blends the sophistication of a luxury restaurant maetre d with the warmth and personalized attention characteristic of a world-class winery. Key responsibilities include leading reservation strategy, managing guest flow, coordinating with front-of-house teams, and supporting overall business needs through strategic planning and communication. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to anticipate guest and operational demands within a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Beyond guest-facing duties, the Lead Host/Concierge directs and coaches the Concierge and Host teams to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to Wente Family Estates' high standards. Close collaboration with Tasting Room leadership and other departments is essential to align reservations and guest experience priorities, as well as to support special events and VIP engagements. The role also demands a polished, professional presence that embodies the brand's heritage and luxury appeal, serving as a confident ambassador for Wente Family Estates. Performance in this position is measured not only by tangible results but by how those results are achieved — consistent demonstration of the RISE values is mandatory.

This is a full-time position that emphasizes leadership in hospitality within a unique winery setting, offering an opportunity to contribute to a world-class guest experience underpinned by sustainability and excellence. Ideal candidates will bring proven experience in hospitality leadership, mastery of reservation systems (TOCK proficiency preferred), advanced organizational abilities, and a genuine passion for delivering personalized and memorable service. The Lead Host/Concierge at Wente Family Estates plays a pivotal role in elevating the guest experience while fostering a collaborative and service-oriented team environment, making it an exciting position for motivated professionals eager to grow within a distinguished winery.
