The position of Lead Grocery Bakery/Deli Worker is a full-time role based at DECA-Fort Bragg South that offers a competitive pay rate of $19.53 per hour. The Lead Grocery Bakery/Deli Worker acts as a key support for management, overseeing daily activities and staff performance to uphold the highest standards of service quality and safety. The job is dynamic and versatile, requiring the employee to perform various food preparation, presentation, and service tasks in cafeteria, delicatessen, or bakery settings.

Responsibilities include providing frontline assistance in food preparation and serving while also supporting administrative tasks such as receiving deliveries and managing stock. The role requires good time management and the ability to handle fluctuating work schedules with open availability preferred. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a related food service role
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days and hours with open availability preferred
  • Must be punctual and have a dependable attendance record
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
  • Capable of lifting and moving stock as required
  • Good interpersonal skills to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Provide support to management in daily oversight of key functions and employees
  • Serve as a cafeteria and/or delicatessen/bakery worker helping in preparation, presentation, and serving of food items
  • Assist in preparing, cooking, receiving and unloading trucks, and storing stock
  • Take special orders or unusual food requests from customers
  • Take payment from customers
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
