Job Description
Yoga Joint is a dynamic and welcoming fitness studio specializing in heated yoga and wellness experiences designed to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and foster community connections. As a growing brand, Yoga Joint is committed to creating an inclusive environment where members not only attend sessions but feel truly connected and empowered. The company stands out by emphasizing positivity, professionalism, adaptability, and continuous personal and professional growth for both the team and its members. At Yoga Joint, every aspect of the studio environment—from cleanliness to member interaction—is meticulously maintained to promote a consistently elevated and memorable wellness experience.
The role available is for a Lead Member Experience Associate (Lead MEA), also commonly referred to as Lead Front Desk Associate. This is a full-time hourly position requiring 30 to 40 hours per week with flexible open availability, including early mornings (as early as 5:30 AM), evenings, and weekends. The Lead MEA is more than just a front desk representative; this position serves as the vital heartbeat of the studio. The Lead MEA is responsible for leading and supporting the front desk team, driving sales and membership growth, and ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence and member experience throughout the studio.
In this leadership role, you will inspire your fellow Member Experience Associates by setting an example of professionalism, positivity, and operational efficiency. Your daily activities will involve greeting and connecting with members and first-time guests, ensuring the studio environment is welcoming, spotless, and well organized. You will play an instrumental role in onboarding and training new team members, reinforcing studio standards, and fostering a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
A significant responsibility of the Lead MEA is to support and drive the studio’s sales goals. This includes engaging with prospective members, inviting and booking guests into classes, and developing relationships that convert visitors into loyal members. You will lead the new member onboarding experience and support retention efforts by reconnecting with members who have lower utilization. On top of an hourly wage, there is an opportunity to earn commissions based on sales performance, which highlights the rewarding nature of this role for those motivated by sales and deepening member connections.
Collaboration is key to success as a Lead MEA. You will work closely with the Studio Manager to manage daily operations, support team success, assist with administrative tasks, retail support, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the studio. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, has a passion for yoga, wellness and hospitality, and enjoys motivating and leading a team to achieve collective goals.
Yoga Joint’s culture is rooted in five fundamental values they call the Five Core Vibes: Live the Brand, Lead the Energy, Flow with Change, Member Experience First, and Grow Every Day. These foundational principles shape every decision and interaction, ensuring that the studio lives up to its mission of empowering healthier lives. The company provides a positive, high-energy work environment that focuses on leadership and growth opportunities, ongoing training and development, a supportive wellness culture, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on members’ lives daily.
If you are energetic, hospitality-driven, wellness-focused, and looking for a career that combines fitness, sales, and operations within a community-oriented and growth-focused team, Yoga Joint offers a compelling opportunity to join a company that truly values its people and the positive impact they create. Apply today and become part of a team that is redefining the yoga and wellness experience.
