This full-time, non-management position, based in Atlanta, Georgia, within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category, invites candidates to join an outstanding global team dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences. The role involves proactively assisting guests and supporting the front desk team throughout the check-in and check-out processes, including managing reservations, room assignments, and key distribution. Employees will also handle payment processing, including cash, credit, debit cards, and traveler checks, while ensuring accuracy and troubleshooting any issues with payments.

The position requires tracking guest satisfaction by following up on problem resolutions and maintaining smooth communication channels internally, particularly with housekeeping to guarantee room readiness. Responsibilities extend to managing guest requests, messages, calls, and records with professionalism and precision. Daily operational reports must be prepared, detailing arrivals, departures, special requests, and other pertinent information to maintain high-quality standards. The candidate will assist in balancing cash drawer accounts, preparing receipts, and supporting training and mentoring efforts for the team to maintain consistent service excellence.

Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods as well as handling items up to 10 pounds without assistance. Job Duties

  • assist staff to expedite problematic payments such as credit card processing issues
  • follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with issue resolution
  • process all guest check-ins including reservation verification, room assignment, and issuance and activation of room keys
  • handle all payment types including lodging charges, cash, checks, debit or credit card payments
  • anticipate room shortages and secure satisfactory alternative accommodations if hotel is fully booked
  • process all guest check-outs including disputed or after-hours charges
  • attend, log, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition upon guest arrival
  • prepare daily reports including arrivals, departures, special requests, and verify report accuracy
  • collect personal and traveler checks from guests
  • review employee shift logs and daily memo books, document relevant information
  • count cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
  • balance and deliver receipts per accounting specifications
  • assist management in training, motivating, and mentoring employees
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • conduct safety training and obtain safety certifications
  • comply with company policies and procedures
  • maintain clean and professional appearance and confidentiality
  • anticipate guest service needs and address them proactively
