Job Description
Pilot Company is a leading network of travel centers across North America, boasting a workforce of over 30,000 team members and more than 750 retail and fueling locations spanning 44 states in the United States and six Canadian provinces. Established in 1958 by Jim A. Haslam II, and currently under the leadership of CEO Adam Wright, Pilot Company has grown into a prominent player in the travel and logistics sector, recognized for its commitment to a people-first culture and strong community values. The company’s extensive operations include energy and logistics, with a significant fleet of fuel tankers that support oil activities in some of the nation's busiest basins. Beyond fueling, Pilot Company excels in multiple industries such as supply chain management, retail operations, technology, digital innovation, construction, maintenance, human resources, finance, and sales and marketing, creating a multifaceted work environment full of opportunity and growth potential.
The role at Pilot Company focuses on providing operational support to the restaurant management team within its network of travel centers. This position is primarily responsible for supervising restaurant activities during non-peak hours and other times as needed to ensure smooth operational flow and outstanding service quality. Candidates will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of brand hospitality, enforcing operational protocols, and driving the restaurant’s objectives as set by the Restaurant General Manager. The role involves direct involvement with crew members, assisting management, and working across various hourly positions to ensure all aspects of daily operations meet Pilot Company’s strict standards for food safety, cleanliness, and customer service. Additionally, this position demands monitoring of financial transactions, including cash handling and register procedures, along with ensuring compliance with labor usage and employee break policies.
In this duty, the candidate will execute shift plans, provide team direction, oversee cleaning and maintenance procedures, and contribute to training initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and efficient team environment. Those hired can expect competitive pay rates starting between $12.50 and $18.23 per hour, reflecting Pilot Company’s dedication to fair compensation. This role is well-suited for individuals who thrive in dynamic, customer-centered environments and who value being part of a reputable company that supports career development and offers comprehensive employee benefits. The company promotes equal employment opportunities and strongly encourages military veterans to apply, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace.
