Job Duties
- Prepares and assists in serving of food according to sanitary standards
- uses all cooking equipment correctly
- uses correct recipes and serving sizes
- ensures professional and efficient service
- uses objective and subjective indicators to evaluate food quality
- follows standards to check temperature of food and equipment
- adheres to meal pattern requirements for student meals
- follows safety standards in food preparation, storage, and serving
- receives and stores deliveries ensuring labeling, dating, and rotation using FIFO method
- places orders for grocery, paper, milk, produce, bread, and miscellaneous items with supervisor support
- maintains personal hygiene to meet sanitation standards
- accepts payment and makes change
- operates POS system for students and adults
- completes inventory of food and supplies as needed
- attends job-related training and workshops
- prepares daily bank deposit for pick up by courier or supervisor
- performs other assigned tasks
