As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for performing floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning. You will follow established procedures for handling chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floor surfaces and fixtures, notify management of any repair needs, and maintain strong working relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. Safety compliance is paramount, and the technician may also assist with special projects, emergency tasks, and upkeep of equipment and facilities.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments, including ten-year work history if available
  • No experience required and on the job training provided
  • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Notify manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company and regulatory authorities
  • Complete assigned stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning of floors
  • Assist with special projects within the account as needed and complete other duties as assigned
