Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of hospital housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of sanitation and infection control standards
- Ability to supervise a large team effectively
- Familiarity with chemical sanitizers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to comply with regulatory and safety requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements preferred
- Knowledge of chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining high sanitation and infection control standards
Job Duties
- Perform and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks
- Manage a staff of 25 or more employees
- Provide leadership, direction and equitable management for housekeeping staff
- Ensure regulatory compliance for sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas
- Create and enforce policies for infection control and sanitation
- Coordinate rental linen and uniform efforts
- Provide multi-disciplinary support services
- Participate in employee education and awareness programs
