Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of hospital housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of sanitation and infection control standards
  • Ability to supervise a large team effectively
  • Familiarity with chemical sanitizers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to comply with regulatory and safety requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience in a hospital setting
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to maintaining high sanitation and infection control standards

Job Duties

  • Perform and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks
  • Manage a staff of 25 or more employees
  • Provide leadership, direction and equitable management for housekeeping staff
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas
  • Create and enforce policies for infection control and sanitation
  • Coordinate rental linen and uniform efforts
  • Provide multi-disciplinary support services
  • Participate in employee education and awareness programs
