Job Description
Product Connections is a leading marketing agency and a key part of the Acosta Group, which is recognized as one of the industry’s most trusted retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies. The Acosta Group specializes in reimagining how brands connect with consumers at every step of their shopping journey, delivering comprehensive brand solutions through various marketing channels. Product Connections focuses on digital and traditional retail events, demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. With over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, the company brings together a diverse talent pool with highly specialized skills to redefine the marketing agency experience.
The culture at Product Connections encourages collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. Employees are supported in their growth through opportunities to develop new skills and advance their careers. By joining Product Connections, you become part of a vibrant workplace where your ideas matter, your professional development is prioritized, and your work has a direct impact on client and company success. The organization values diversity and equal opportunity and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
The role available is that of an Associate responsible for conducting in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This position is part-time, with an expected weekly commitment of up to 25 hours, although this may vary based on business or client needs. The Associate plays a crucial role in engaging shoppers directly by showcasing products, educating consumers on features and benefits, and facilitating sales in a professional manner. They are tasked with managing and maintaining the equipment and supplies needed for events, ensuring everything is clean, organized, and secured appropriately within the store environment.
In addition to performing demonstrations, the Associate serves as a key support figure when the Supervisor is absent, acting as the main point of contact for all event-related activities within the store. This includes coordinating with store management and assisting other Event Specialists. They must demonstrate leadership qualities, help enforce food safety practices, and maintain a clean and safe workstation. Since the role involves handling raw meats, produce, and other food items, food safety certification and compliance with health guidelines are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with some related experience or training preferred. Computer proficiency is necessary to navigate internal systems and applications effectively. Food Safety Professional Certification and any required local food handler permits must be obtained. Physically, the role demands the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds (and occasionally up to 50 pounds), reach overhead, and use various kitchen appliances safely such as microwaves, fryers, and knives. Maintaining a professional appearance and communicating effectively in English are also key to success.
Overall, this Associate role offers the chance to work in a dynamic retail environment with a supportive company that values professionalism, safety, and customer engagement. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers, learning about new products, and contributing to successful marketing events at well-known retail locations.
