Job Description
Product Connections is a leading marketing agency that forms part of the Acosta Group, known for its innovative approach to retail, marketing, and foodservice. Acosta Group is a collective of some of the industry’s most trusted agencies that specialize in connecting brands with consumers at various points along their shopping journey. As a full-service marketing agency, Product Connections provides expert solutions in digital and traditional retail events and demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. With a strong emphasis on brand engagement and consumer conversion, Product Connections prides itself on creating memorable and impactful consumer experiences that drive brand loyalty and sales growth. The company employs over 10,000 professionals in the field alongside more than 150 corporate employees, building a diverse, talented, and experienced workforce that redefines what it means to be a marketing agency today.
This particular role is for an Associate who will take responsibility for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This is a part-time position, typically requiring no more than 25 hours per week, but with the option for adjustments depending on business and client needs. The Associate's main responsibility is to acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of the products represented during these in-store events. They will demonstrate, serve, and actively engage with consumers in a professional and positive manner to promote and sell products effectively. This position also entails managing event execution equipment, ensuring that materials are clean, organized, and securely stored within the store environment.
The Associate will maintain a professional appearance consistent with job standards, including adherence to specific retailer dress codes outlined during training. The role requires standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities involved in conducting product demonstrations, such as preparing and serving food samples in compliance with local food safety regulations. Use of various kitchen appliances like knives, microwaves, fryers, and coffee makers is expected to safely prepare samples.
Apart from executing the demonstrations, this role involves leadership responsibilities, including acting as the point of contact in the absence of a supervisor. The Associate will liaise with store management regarding upcoming and past event executions, assist fellow event specialists, and support overall team knowledge transfer. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build and sustain rapport with store personnel and clients to ensure alignment with company and client goals.
The job offers an enriching experience for individuals looking to expand their skills in marketing, retail, and consumer engagement while working within a supportive and inclusive company culture that values employee growth and contributions. Acosta Group provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and is committed to equal employment opportunities. The employment requires proficiency in computer navigation and the use of mobile devices for internal systems, alongside relevant food safety certifications, where applicable.
Overall, this position is ideal for candidates who enjoy direct consumer interaction, have a passion for sales and marketing, and seek a dynamic work environment with opportunities to develop professionally in a recognized marketing agency. Join Product Connections and become part of a culturally collaborative team that values your ideas and supports your career journey towards building successful consumer brand connections.
