Job Description
Product Connections, a division of Acosta Group, stands at the forefront of retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies, reimagining how brands connect with consumers in their shopping journey. With a robust team of over 10,000 experts and more than 150 corporate professionals, Acosta Group excels in delivering innovative marketing solutions including digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activations, and omnichannel shopper marketing. The company prides itself on a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work culture that empowers employees to think creatively, grow their skills, and advance their careers. Product Connections specifically focuses on creating meaningful consumer-brand interactions through in-store events and demonstrations, playing a crucial role in the retail marketing landscape.
The Associate role at Product Connections involves conducting in-store food and non-food product demonstrations, which are essential to enhancing customer engagement and increasing product awareness. The Associate will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the products represented, professionally serving and demonstrating these products, and engaging consumers to effectively sell the items. A significant part of this role includes the management and maintenance of event execution equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, organized, and securely stored in designated backroom areas. The Associate also plays a leadership role in communicating and coordinating with store management during the absence of the Supervisor, acting as the point person for all events and assisting other team members as needed.
This part-time position, with an expected maximum of 25 hours per week and an hourly wage of $15.50, offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about retail marketing and customer interaction. The role requires preparedness to handle food safely, prepare and serve samples using various appliances, and maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation. The Associate is also responsible for documenting event success through digital photos and completing all related administrative tasks, such as expense reports and online submissions, on the same day as the event.
Beyond the technical and operational responsibilities, the Associate must embody a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to specific retailer dress codes and grooming standards. This ensures that the brand is represented in the best possible manner at all times. Key physical demands of the role include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly (with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds), and operating demonstration equipment. The work environment is primarily within retail store settings, with limited travel required.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with some related experience or training preferred. They should possess proficiency in computer and mobile device navigation to manage event-related applications and internal systems effectively. Certification in food safety or a local food handler's permit may also be required, depending on local regulations. English proficiency is essential, with bilingual skills considered a plus depending on the business needs.
Joining Product Connections means becoming part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities and promoting equal employment opportunities. Acosta Group also supports applicants through its E-Verify system to ensure legal work status in the United States. This position is an excellent fit for motivated individuals seeking a flexible, engaging role within the retail marketing sector, contributing to dynamic brand experiences and gaining valuable industry insight.
