Job Description
Product Connections is a distinguished division of Acosta Group, a leading full-service marketing agency that specializes in bridging the gap between brands and consumers through innovative retail, marketing, and foodservice strategies. Acosta Group is home to over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees who synergize their talents to redefine modern marketing approaches. Known for its comprehensive offerings that include digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activations, and omnichannel shopper marketing, the company is committed to connecting products with target audiences at optimal moments to facilitate the consumer purchase journey effectively. Product Connections, as part of this collective, focuses specifically on in-store demonstrations and experiential engagements aimed at enhancing brand awareness and driving sales through face-to-face consumer interactions.
This role, the Associate position, is a critical component of the Product Connections team and entails executing in-store food and non-food product demonstrations within retail environments. The Associate is responsible for not only promoting and selling products in a professional manner but also ensuring the proper setup and maintenance of event execution equipment used during demonstrations. The position demands an individual who is knowledgeable about the products they represent and who can engage customers proactively with compelling communication and salesmanship. The Associate will be the point of contact in the absence of a supervisor, which requires additional communication and leadership skills to liaise effectively with store management and support fellow team members.
The role is part-time, not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, offering flexibility while maintaining a focused commitment to quality event execution. Associates must comply with food safety regulations, which includes preparing and serving food samples safely using various cooking utensils and appliances. This also entails meticulous maintenance of a clean, sterile, and organized workstation. Employees are expected to present themselves with a professional appearance consistent with company and retailer dress codes.
To succeed in this position, Associates should be adept at handling physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting and carrying weights up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering demonstration carts in-store. They must be comfortable using technology including personal computers and mobile devices to complete reporting and event documentation tasks, which includes submitting expense reports and photographic evidence of event setups. Bilingual language skills may be beneficial depending on business needs.
At Acosta Group, there is a strong emphasis on fostering a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment where employees are encouraged to innovate, develop professionally, and take their careers to the next level. The company prides itself on providing reasonable accommodations to applicants and employees with disabilities, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all. Salary and compensation details are deemed accurate and reasonable, reflecting the company’s commitment to transparency and fairness.
Joining Product Connections means becoming part of a reputable agency that values your contributions and professional growth. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in retail marketing, consumer engagement, and hands-on experience in product promotion and event coordination.
