Job Description
Product Connections is a division of Acosta Group, a premier network of retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies dedicated to transforming the way brands engage with consumers. As an established marketing agency, Product Connections specializes in orchestrating digital and traditional retail events, product demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activations, and comprehensive shopper marketing strategies. With a team comprising over 10,000 field experts backed by more than 150 corporate professionals, the organization is committed to delivering innovative, impactful brand solutions that engage consumers effectively at every touchpoint in their shopping journey.
The Associate role at Product Connections is essential for executing in-store demonstrations of food and non-food products, offering consumers an immersive experience that highlights product features and advantages. This part-time position, accommodating up to 25 hours per week, involves managing the entire demonstration event process, including setup, execution, and documentation, all while adhering to food safety standards and company policies. The Associate not only serves and sells but also plays a pivotal role in maintaining event-related equipment and supplies, ensuring that everything is clean, secure, and ready for use.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively engage with customers and store personnel alike, ensuring a positive and professional in-store presence. They are expected to possess a thorough understanding of the products they represent, acquired through ongoing learning and hands-on experience. This knowledge empowers them to clearly communicate benefits to consumers and provide exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include setting up event tables, preparing and serving food samples using various kitchen appliances, maintaining a sterile and safe working environment, and reporting event outcomes and expenses timely and accurately through digital platforms. Additionally, the Associate serves as the point of contact during the Supervisor's absence, requiring leadership qualities and the ability to assist fellow Event Specialists effectively.
Physical requirements for this role are significant and include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and the ability to operate small kitchen appliances. Candidates must be conscientious about maintaining their professional appearance and compliance with all safety guidelines, including proper handling of raw food products and chemicals.
Product Connections fosters an inclusive, supportive work culture where growth and professional development are encouraged. Employees benefit from a collaborative environment where their contributions are recognized, and their skills are continually honed. Joining this team offers a unique opportunity to influence consumer decisions directly while developing valuable retail marketing expertise within a respected agency.
With a commitment to equal opportunity employment and reasonable accommodations, Product Connections ensures a welcoming environment for all qualified candidates. The company offers competitive compensation reflecting the responsibilities and modest hours associated with this role, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and career progression.
