The Associate role at Product Connections is a vital position centered around executing in-store food and non-food demonstrations aimed at engaging customers and promoting products effectively. This role demands individuals who are proactive, personable, and knowledgeable about the products they represent. The Associate manages the setup and maintenance of demonstration equipment, ensuring all tools and supplies are clean, organized, and stored correctly in the store’s backroom. When the Supervisor is absent, the Associate acts as the primary point of contact with store management, overseeing event execution and communication. This position requires leadership capabilities to assist other Event Specialists and provides essential support in maintaining the high standards of demonstration quality expected by the company and its clients.
In addition to event management, the Associate is responsible for engaging with consumers in a positive and professional manner, effectively communicating product features and benefits to influence sales. This role involves preparing and serving food samples following strict food safety guidelines, which includes handling raw meats, produce, and eggs, as well as utilizing small appliances like microwaves, fryers, skillets, and coffee makers. The Associate must maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation through diligent use of cleaning chemicals and comply with all safety and appearance standards. They document event success through digital photography of demonstration setups and submit timely reports and online paperwork for each event. This part-time position, capped at 25 hours per week, offers a salary of $15.50 per hour and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. The role also includes physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing, making physical fitness and stamina important.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills to navigate personal computers and mobile devices
- Ability to prepare and serve food samples following food safety guidelines
- Capable of handling physical demands including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
- English language proficiency, bilingual skills as needed
- Willingness to report any work-related injury promptly
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week
- Flexibility to manage event execution and communication in Supervisor’s absence
- Adaptability to retail store environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient using personal computers and mobile devices including internal systems
- Food Safety Professional Certification
- Local Food handlers permit if required
- Ability to effectively communicate product features and benefits
- Leadership skills to support team and event execution
- Experience in customer engagement and sales
- Ability to comply with food safety standards and use related equipment
Job Duties
- Manage and maintain equipment and supplies used for events ensuring cleanliness and proper storage
- Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when Supervisor is absent
- Act as point person for all events conducted in the store during Supervisor absence
- Assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials and tools
- Provide leadership and knowledge to the team assisting the Supervisor
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented
- Intercept, engage, interact and sell products to consumers professionally
- Prepare and serve food samples complying with food safety guidelines including handling raw meats and use of small appliances
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation
- Set up and prepare Event Table for execution
- Complete all assigned work and assist with client visit preparations and audit corrections
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel
- Complete expense reports and submit online requirements on event day
- Take digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document event success
