Job Description
Product Connections is a dynamic and innovative marketing agency that operates as a part of Acosta Group, one of the largest and most trusted retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies in the industry. With a network of over 10,000 experts and more than 150 corporate employees, Acosta Group is dedicated to redefining how brands connect with consumers throughout their shopping journey. The company specializes in a blend of digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activations, and omnichannel shopper marketing to deliver targeted brand solutions that effectively move customers through the conversion funnel. Known for its supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work culture, Product Connections encourages employees to think big, develop their skills, and advance their careers in an environment where their ideas are valued and their impact is recognized.
The Associate role within Product Connections focuses on in-store food and non-food product demonstrations, playing a crucial part in driving sales and elevating brand presence in retail environments. This position involves engaging directly with consumers to serve, demonstrate, and sell products professionally and persuasively, helping customers understand the product features and benefits. The Associate is responsible for maintaining expertise in the products represented, ensuring the execution of demonstrations adheres to food safety and operational protocols, and handling all event execution equipment within store locations. The job also includes setup and breakdown of demonstration areas, maintaining a clean and safe workstation, and managing relationships with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
This part-time role typically requires up to 25 hours per week, with some flexibility based on the needs of the business or client. It demands excellent communication skills, physical stamina to operate demonstration equipment and prepare food samples, and the ability to present a neat and professional appearance in compliance with retailer dress codes. When a supervisor is absent, the Associate acts as the point of contact for store management, providing leadership and support to other event specialists.
In addition to the product demonstration duties, the Associate is also tasked with administrative responsibilities such as completing expense reports, submitting event documentation promptly, and capturing photographic evidence of demonstration setups to provide success stories to clients. This role requires proficiency with personal computers and mobile devices to navigate various applications and internal systems efficiently.
Product Connections values commitment to its equal opportunity principles, ensuring accommodations are made for applicants with disabilities. Furthermore, the company requires compliance with employment eligibility verification processes such as E-Verify, reinforcing its dedication to lawful employment practices. Education and training for this position generally require a high school diploma or general education degree, with a preference for some experience or training in related fields, along with certifications like Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handler permits as necessary.
If you are passionate about product marketing, enjoy engaging with customers, and are looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity in a professional and supportive agency environment, the Associate position at Product Connections offers a rewarding and impactful career path. Join a team that values your growth and provides the resources to succeed in the vibrant retail marketing industry.
