Job Description

Product Connections is a valued part of the Acosta Group, one of the industry’s most trusted retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies. The Acosta Group is dedicated to reimagining the ways people connect with brands throughout their shopping journey, offering comprehensive marketing solutions that combine both digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. With a workforce of over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, Product Connections leverages diverse talents and deep industry experience to provide outstanding client solutions. The company is known for cultivating a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work culture where employees are encouraged to innovate, expand their skill sets, and advance their careers. Embracing diversity and equal opportunities, Acosta Group is committed to reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and follows rigorous practices, including the use of E-Verify, to ensure compliance with employment eligibility regulations.

The role of Associate at Product Connections focuses on completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations to engage and educate consumers about various products. This position requires acquiring and maintaining thorough knowledge of the products represented, skillfully demonstrating and serving them, and professionally interacting with customers to effectively promote sales. The Associate is also responsible for managing the event execution equipment within retail stores, ensuring cleanliness and security of supplies. This part-time role offers a pay rate of $17.40 per hour and typically involves working no more than 25 hours per week, though adjustments may be made based on business and client needs.

Associates play a vital role in delivering direct product experiences to shoppers, using excellent communication skills to highlight product features and benefits, and proactively engaging consumers. Expertise in food safety is mandatory, with proper handling and preparation of food samples, including meats, produce, and eggs, along with the use of multiple kitchen appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, and coffee makers. Physical stamina is important, as tasks involve standing, walking, lifting, and moving demonstration carts loaded with equipment and materials. Moreover, Associates must uphold professional appearance standards consistent with retailer dress codes and company expectations.

The Associate may serve as the point of contact during a Supervisor’s absence, maintaining communication with store management and supporting other team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with event materials. They are expected to keep a clean, sterile, and safe work station, complete assigned tasks efficiently, assist with preparations for client visits, submit expense reports timely, and document successful event setups with digital photos. The role fosters strong relationships with store personnel to meet client and company objectives effectively. Overall, this position demands dedication, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic retail environment.
