The opportunity to join Product Connections as an Associate offers a dynamic and engaging role focused on in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This position primarily involves interacting with customers in retail environments to showcase products, serving and preparing sample foods, and maintaining demonstration equipment. Associates are expected to maintain extensive product knowledge and deliver professional, engaging presentations that drive sales. This role includes responsibilities such as managing event equipment, leadership duties in the absence of a supervisor, and ensuring compliance with food safety and organizational standards. It allows for hands-on experience in marketing execution and direct consumer engagement. The position offers a part-time schedule of up to 25 hours per week and provides an hourly pay rate of $14.50. Job Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods
  • Walk and move throughout retail store environments
  • Use hands and fingers for handling and feeling products
  • Reach overhead and manipulate tools
  • Talk and hear effectively
  • Read and comprehend instructions and procedures
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb including use of a 6-foot ladder
  • Lift and carry weights up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully loaded with supplies
  • Prepare food items using raw products and small appliances
  • Maintain cleanliness using cleaning chemicals
  • Communicate professionally with retail personnel
  • Adhere to company dress code and maintain a neat, clean appearance
  • Work in a retail store environment with limited travel
  • Act as point of contact in the absence of a supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months of related experience or training
  • Proficient computer skills including use of mobile devices and internal systems
  • Food Safety Professional Certification or local food handler’s permit if applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs

Job Duties

  • Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies to ensure cleanliness and security
  • Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when Supervisor is absent
  • Act as the point of contact for events and assist other Event Specialists as needed
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to the team to support the Supervisor
  • Gain and apply adequate product knowledge to effectively demonstrate and sell
  • Engage with customers proactively to promote products in a positive manner
  • Prepare and serve food samples in compliance with food safety guidelines using small appliances
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station at all times
  • Ensure professional personal appearance consistent with job requirements
  • Set up and prepare the Event Table for demonstration execution
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently
  • Assist with client visit preparation and complete audit corrections
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client goals
  • Submit expense reports and online requirements promptly
  • Document table setups with digital photos for client reporting
