Job Description
Product Connections is a specialized division of the Acosta Group, one of the industry’s leading retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies. Acosta Group is renowned for reimagining the way brands connect with consumers at every point in their shopping journey through a blend of digital and traditional retail events, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. With a workforce comprising over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, Acosta Group offers a wide breadth of experience and talent that sets the standard in marketing innovation and execution. The agency also strongly supports a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture where employees are encouraged to innovate, enhance their skills, and advance their careers.
As part of the Acosta Group, Product Connections is seeking an Associate responsible for delivering excellent in-store demonstrations of both food and non-food products. This role is designed to connect consumers with products by effectively communicating features, benefits, and usage in a professional manner. The Associate will manage the event execution equipment within stores to ensure its functionality and availability. This position requires a high level of professionalism and a neat appearance consistent with the company and retailer standards. The hourly pay rate for this role is $15.25. This position typically requires up to 25 hours per week, although hours are subject to change based on business and client needs.
In this role, the Associate will be the primary contact in the absence of the Supervisor, communicating directly with store management regarding event planning and follow-up. The Associate will collaborate with other event specialists, offering leadership and support to maintain the quality and consistency of event execution. Responsibilities include setting up event tables, maintaining clean and safe workstations, utilizing small cooking appliances for food preparations, and adhering strictly to food safety protocols. Additionally, Associates are responsible for customer engagement, intercepting shoppers proactively to offer product information and samples, with the ultimate goal of driving product sales.
The role demands physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly (and occasionally up to 50 pounds), and pushing or pulling a fully loaded demonstration cart. Due to the nature of the work, food safety certification and possibly local food handler permits are required. The ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely to maintain sanitary conditions is essential. Associates must also be proficient with computer use and internal systems for reporting and event documentation, including submitting expense reports and digital photos of event setups on the day of execution.
This opportunity offers a balance of independence and collaboration in a retail environment, allowing individuals who are passionate about customer service, food marketing, and retail event execution to thrive and grow. Acosta Group values diversity and equal opportunity, providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities to ensure an inclusive hiring process. By joining Product Connections, Associates become part of a dynamic team shaping consumer experiences and advancing brand engagement inside retail spaces.
