Job Description

Product Connections, a division of Acosta Group, is a leading full-service marketing agency specializing in digital and traditional retail events, product demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. As part of one of the industry’s most trusted retail and foodservice agencies, Product Connections focuses on connecting products with target consumers at the right place and time along their shopping journey. With a workforce of over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, Product Connections is proud to offer a collaborative, inclusive culture that encourages innovation, skill growth, and meaningful career development. The company emphasizes a professional, supportive environment where employees’ ideas are valued, and their work contributes significantly to client success.

The Associate role within Product Connections is vital in executing in-store food and non-food product demonstrations at retail locations. This part-time position typically requires up to 25 hours per week, though this can be adjusted based on business and client needs. The Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining event execution equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is clean, secure, and properly stored in the designated backroom areas. When the Supervisor is absent, the Associate acts as the primary point of contact with store management concerning upcoming and past events, providing leadership and knowledge to the team. Associates are expected to assist other Event Specialists by preparing event kits, materials, and tools, helping facilitate smooth event operations.

Key duties involve preparing and serving food samples—ranging from raw meats, produce, to eggs—while strictly adhering to food safety guidelines. The Associate must be proficient in using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives to prepare samples. Maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe workstation is essential, utilizing appropriate cleaning chemicals and following health standards. The Associate also is responsible for setting up the event table properly, completing assigned tasks, assisting with client visit preparations, and performing audit corrections as needed. Building positive rapport with store personnel is critical to meet company and client objectives effectively. Reporting on expenses, submitting event documentation, and capturing digital photos of event setups to showcase successful brand engagement are additional responsibilities.

This position requires standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and the physical ability to use hands and arms effectively. The Associate must be able to climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear sufficiently to perform in-store demonstrations and communicate effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside one to three months of relevant experience or training. Proficiency in using personal computers and mobile devices to navigate internal systems is expected. Candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, food safety professional certification and local food handler permits if applicable.

Product Connections prioritizes a professional appearance aligned with retailer dress codes and emphasizes safe, hygienic practices in line with food handling standards. While English is the primary language requirement, bilingual skills may be preferred depending on business needs. As an equal opportunity employer, Acosta Group ensures accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities and follows strict compliance standards to validate eligibility for employment in the United States through E-Verify. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader in retail marketing, develop hands-on skills, and contribute to impactful consumer engagement initiatives in a dynamic and supportive environment.
