Job Description

Product Connections is a prominent division within the Acosta Group, one of the industry’s most trusted retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies. The Acosta Group is renowned for reimagining the way people connect with brands at every point in their shopping journey. With a workforce comprising over 10,000 field experts and more than 150 corporate employees, this full-service marketing agency has set a high standard in the marketing and retail landscape. The company specializes in digital and traditional retail events and demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. Their core mission is to deliver strategic brand solutions that effectively connect products to the right target audience at the right time, moving consumers down the conversion funnel with precision and creativity.

Within this dynamic ecosystem, Product Connections plays a crucial role in elevating product visibility and consumer engagement through hands-on, in-store experiences. Their approach combines a deep understanding of shopper behavior with innovative demonstration and event execution, ensuring that the promotional activities leave a lasting impact on consumers. Their inclusive culture encourages employees to think big, develop their skills, and grow their careers in a supportive and collaborative environment. The company values diversity and equal opportunity, fostering a workplace where ideas are appreciated and individual contributions have a tangible impact.

The Associate role at Product Connections is an integral part of the team responsible for executing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. This part-time position, typically not exceeding 25 hours per week, offers a flexible schedule but also allows room for adjustments based on business or client needs. The Associate is tasked with not only carrying out demonstrations professionally but also managing the equipment and supplies essential for event execution. Maintaining a clean, secure, and organized workspace is critical, as is upholding a professional appearance in line with company and client standards.

In this position, the Associate serves as a brand ambassador who proactively engages with consumers, effectively communicating product features and benefits. They possess an aptitude for acquiring detailed product knowledge and have the ability to prepare and serve food samples safely, adhering strictly to food safety guidelines. Their role extends to supporting fellow team members and the supervisor by providing leadership and sharing expertise, especially in the supervisor’s absence. This role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key responsibilities include maintaining event equipment and supplies in designated areas, serving as a point of contact for store management and team members during supervisor absences, preparing food samples using various appliances, ensuring cleanliness and safety of the workstation, and completing all work assigned efficiently. The Associate also plays a vital role in documentation and reporting, including submitting expense reports and online event requirements on the day of execution, as well as capturing digital photos of successful event setups as part of client reporting. The role is designed for individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and passionate about delivering exceptional brand experiences within a retail environment.

Product Connections and the Acosta Group emphasize compliance with legal and safety matters, including Workers' Compensation claims and food safety certifications. They also stress the importance of physical readiness, given the demands of standing, walking, lifting, and performing other physical tasks throughout the workday. Overall, this career opportunity is ideal for those seeking a part-time position within a vibrant company dedicated to connecting brands and consumers through innovative marketing strategies and experiential retail promotions.
