The role of Associate at Product Connections involves completing in-store food and non-food product demonstrations to engage customers effectively and boost product sales. This position requires the Associate to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the products they represent and to professionally demonstrate, serve, and sell these products during events hosted within retail store environments. Hourly pay for this position ranges from $15.25 to $16.50, with work hours not exceeding 25 hours per week, though this may vary according to business or client needs. The Associate's responsibilities extend to managing and maintaining the equipment and supplies associated with these promotional events, ensuring cleanliness and security in designated backroom areas. In the absence of a supervisor, the Associate acts as the primary contact for coordinating event activities, collaborating with store management, and supporting other Event Specialists.
Additionally, Associates must consistently uphold a professional appearance and demeanor compliant with the company and client dress code requirements. They are also required to adhere to food safety guidelines rigorously, as their duties include the preparation and serving of food samples, including handling raw meats, produce, and eggs, as well as using various small appliances safely. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving demonstration carts loaded with products and equipment. Associates must exhibit strong communication skills to convey product features and benefits effectively, build rapport with store personnel, maintain audit standards, complete accurate expense reporting, and document event success via photography. This position plays a vital role in enhancing brand visibility and customer interaction within a retail setting, making it essential for the Associate to be proactive, knowledgeable, and customer-focused to drive successful event execution.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- food safety professional certification or local food handlers permit if required
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to handle and prepare food safely and hygienically
- ability to use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives
- physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform various physical actions such as stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, push and pull demonstration carts
- proficiency in using personal computers and mobile devices
- professional appearance and adherence to dress code
- good communication skills in English
- willingness to work up to 25 hours per week

Job Duties
- complete in-store food and non-food demonstrations
- acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented
- serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers and sell products professionally
- manage and maintain event execution equipment and supplies
- communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when supervisor is absent
- act as point person for events during supervisor absence
- assist other event specialists with event kits, materials and tools as needed
- maintain a clean, sterile and safe work station
- prepare and serve food samples complying with food safety guidelines
- set up and prepare event table for execution
- complete expense reports as per company policy
- prepare and submit all on-line requirements on the same day as event execution
- take digital photos of perfect table setup
- build and maintain rapport with store personnel
- assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections
- maintain professional appearance and grooming consistent with job requirements
