The Associate role at Product Connections involves in-store food and non-food product demonstrations aimed at engaging customers and driving sales. This part-time position, typically not exceeding 25 hours per week, demands a highly professional demeanor, keen product knowledge, and dynamic customer interaction skills. Associates are responsible for setting up, executing, and maintaining demonstration events in retail environments, ensuring all equipment and supplies are clean, organized, and secured according to company standards. The role requires proficiency with food safety, including preparing and serving food samples using various small appliances and maintaining a clean, sterile workstation. Associates also assist with management responsibilities in the absence of supervisors, including communicating with store management and supporting other Event Specialists with materials and event kits.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as Associates build rapport with store personnel to meet company and client goals. The position requires attention to detail in completing expense reports, submitting online requirements promptly, and documenting events with digital photos of perfect table setups. Employees must adhere to retailer dress codes and maintain a professional appearance, embodying the brand's standards. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, using hands and arms for tasks like preparing food, and occasional climbing. English language skills are required, with bilingual abilities considered a plus depending on business needs.
Overall, this role offers driven individuals an opportunity to develop leadership skills, product expertise, and experience in retail marketing within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Product Connections provides a platform for employees to make a measurable impact on brand success while supporting personal and professional growth in a collaborative setting.
