The company fosters an inclusive culture that values diversity, continuous improvement, and collaboration across all levels of the organization. This inclusive environment encourages employees to thrive while contributing to meaningful healthcare innovations on a global scale. Stryker is recognized for its dedication to integrity, quality, and teamwork, continually positioning itself as a preferred employer and trusted partner in the healthcare industry.
The Lead Event Planning Specialist at Stryker plays a crucial role in orchestrating high-impact meetings and events that support divisional objectives and budgets. This hybrid role involves comprehensive end-to-end event management responsibilities ranging from strategic planning and budgeting to logistics coordination and stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless execution of programs accommodating 20 to 500 participants. The specialist collaborates cross-functionally within the division and broader business units, managing vendor relationships and juggling multiple concurrent programs while ensuring strict compliance with corporate processes and procedures. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement by enhancing meeting planning practices and internal platforms to elevate attendee engagement and overall event experience.
This position requires a hands-on approach to coordinating all event elements such as budgeting, attendee communication, travel arrangements, accommodations, agenda creation, food and beverage services, audiovisual setups, site inspections, and post-event evaluations. The Lead Event Planning Specialist will act as the primary liaison for major organizational events, contributing to continuous enhancements based on attendee and stakeholder feedback. The role also includes mentoring responsibilities to support administrative staff in planning smaller meetings, thereby fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Stryker offers a competitive annual salary range of $69,500 to $110,900 USD for this role, reflecting the experience and expertise required to manage complex events effectively. The position includes up to 50% domestic and international travel, underscoring the dynamic and fast-paced nature of this role. The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded set of skills including strong verbal and written communication, proficiency with various digital platforms like Microsoft Office, Marketo, SharePoint 365, Zoom, and Teams, as well as proven experience managing multiple high-profile events concurrently. Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate with vendors are highly valued.
As an equal opportunity employer, Stryker is committed to diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities without regard to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran status. The Lead Event Planning Specialist role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding meeting and event experiences that contribute directly to business success and stakeholder satisfaction.
