With a network of 28 communities across 9 states and a team of over 8,500 professionals, Acts provides exceptional independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing services to seniors. Their communities are designed to offer a vibrant and engaging lifestyle that emphasizes comfort, hospitality, and comprehensive care. Residents enjoy a broad range of amenities, including casual and fine dining venues, beauty salons, fitness centers, healthcare services, security, and varied activity programs. Acts Retirement-Life Communities is deeply committed to fostering a culture rooted in Loving-Kindness, diversity, and inclusion, creating a supportive work environment where all team members feel valued and appreciated regardless of their background or identity. This culture of respect and appreciation for diversity helps cultivate a motivated, compassionate workforce focused on delivering outstanding service to residents.
Normandy Farms Estates, one of Acts' beautiful gated communities located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, is currently hiring a Lead Dietary Aide. This full-time role offers a competitive starting wage ranging from $17.00 to $20.44 per hour, dependent on skills and experience. In addition to the hourly wage, employees benefit from Acts' comprehensive pay initiatives, including next-day pay through the PayActiv program, enabling team members to receive their wages quickly after working. Furthermore, Acts provides numerous employee benefits such as tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, scholarship awards, professional development programs, university partnerships, referral and discount programs, appreciation events, and wellness initiatives designed to support both personal and professional growth of its employees.
The Lead Dietary Aide plays a critical role within Normandy Farms Estates by fostering an environment of hospitality for residents and guests under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager. This position demands a high level of attention to accuracy in diet preparation and meal service, particularly in the manager's absence, ensuring that residents receive the correct therapeutic diets as prescribed. Working closely with Dietitians, Managers, and Chefs, the Lead Dietary Aide assists with food preparation and menu adherence in order to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Additionally, the role requires some short order cooking and vigilant enforcement of policies designed to guarantee safe food handling.
Ideal candidates for the Lead Dietary Aide position possess a high school diploma or equivalent combined with 1 to 3 years of experience within a food service or healthcare setting. ServeSafe Certification is preferred, though candidates willing to obtain certification within a three-month introductory period will be considered. The position is ideal for individuals seeking both career growth and the opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality service in a senior living community setting. Team members at Normandy Farms Estates can expect to be supported in their professional journey through Acts' investment in professional development, scholarship opportunities, and ongoing wellness and appreciation initiatives, reinforcing a workplace culture that values continuous learning and employee well-being.
