Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry
  • ability to read and communicate in English
  • ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80 plus pounds repeatedly during each shift
  • comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
  • must register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • must complete all company mandated trainings and assessments including US Foods Driver Onboarding program

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements
  • minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery

Job Duties

  • Participate in the safety performance team and ensure that safety is a key focus
  • train and mentor new drivers on company policies, procedures, and monitor compliance and performance
  • perform customer site visits to determine feasibility of delivery
  • partner with the night warehouse supervisors on safety and visual aids demonstrations
  • perform post-accident ride-a longs with drivers to assist in identifying root cause analysis and re-training as necessary
  • participate in offsite training and developmental opportunities
  • safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
