The Lead Delivery Driver role at US Foods offers a competitive pay rate of $32.15 per hour and a full-time schedule working Monday through Saturday with one weekday off, emphasizing a strong work-life balance. As a Lead Delivery Driver, you'll take on a leadership role within the transportation team by mentoring and training new drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting a culture of safety. You will participate actively in safety performance teams, perform customer site visits to assess delivery feasibility, and collaborate with warehouse supervisors to enhance safety practices and training demonstrations. The role includes conducting post-accident ride-alongs to help identify root causes and assist in driver re-training to prevent future incidents.

This position demands physical stamina and comfort working in various weather conditions, with the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy products repeatedly during each shift. The job requires attentiveness to detail for verifying delivery accuracy, handling customer payments when necessary, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
