Job Description
Pilot Company is a distinguished leader in the travel center industry, operating a vast network of over 750 retail and fueling locations spread across 44 states in the United States and six provinces in Canada. With a dedicated workforce of more than 30,000 team members, Pilot Company prides itself on delivering superior services and products in the travel and energy sectors. Established in 1958 by Jim A. Haslam II, the company has grown significantly over the decades and currently thrives under the leadership of CEO Adam Wright. The company's success is rooted in its founding principles of a people-first culture, a commitment to operational excellence, and a strong dedication to giving back to the communities it serves. Pilot Company is not only a prominent name in retail travel services but also a major player in energy and logistics, operating one of the largest tanker fleets and supplying fuel to critical oil operations in some of North America's busiest basins. This broad portfolio allows Pilot Company to leverage expertise in supply chain management, retail operations, technology, digital innovation, logistics, human resources, finance, and marketing to maintain its competitive edge and continue its legacy of excellence. This role is for a Deli Supervisor who will play a crucial part in supporting the deli management team to ensure smooth restaurant operations especially during non-peak service hours. The position involves supervising daily restaurant activities, managing the operational standards of the Pilot Travel Centers (PTC) deli, and assisting in various leadership duties such as training, labor management, and compliance with food safety and cash handling procedures. The supervisor will ensure that all deli standards related to hospitality, cleanliness, product freshness, and suggestive selling are rigorously maintained. Additionally, the role requires working alongside the team in hourly positions, providing guidance and direction during shifts, and maintaining safe working conditions in accordance with company safety and security policies. The deli supervisor is also responsible for monitoring labor usage and break policies, ensuring adherence to dress codes and maintenance procedures, and addressing performance or disciplinary issues in collaboration with the Deli General Manager. Pilot Company offers competitive pay starting between $15.00 and $20.13 per hour for this position, along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional growth. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence, team collaboration, and customer satisfaction, this opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about supervisory roles in fast-paced hospitality environments and who thrive in leadership positions that require both direct team engagement and managerial oversight.
