The role of Lead Daytime Host at Max Downtown is vital to maintaining the smooth operation and welcoming environment that guests expect. This position requires a professional with enthusiasm and dedication to guest service, who can effectively coordinate the dining room’s activities to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. The Lead Daytime Host will serve as the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations and guest inquiries, overseeing the host team, and supporting special events. Job Requirements
- Experience answering calls with a friendly and helpful demeanor
- experience welcoming and engaging with guests, answering questions, providing direction and ensuring needs of the guests are met
- menu knowledge, allergen knowledge, attention to detail, sense of urgency, ability to speak clearly when taking to-go orders
- effective communication skills to address client issues and problems in a timely manner, involving management if needed
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the Max Downtown dress code
- experience with OpenTable is a plus
- previous experience in handling reservations and assisting with event coordination is a bonus

Job Duties
- Coordinate the activities of the dining room to ensure smooth, fast, and courteous service for guests
- manage dining room reservations, coat check when applicable and handing parties or special event info to the Event Manager
- note on the reservation and tell servers, dinners celebrating special occasions
- assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution
- collaborate with the management team to assist with special event duties, act as a training resource, and take on ad hoc tasks as needed
- greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
- ensure the dining room is neat, clean, and organized, providing a professional environment for guests and staff alike
- print out menus daily
- hourly checks of restrooms to ensure they’re fully stocked
- maintain organized and clean host area
