Job Description
Salute is a leading provider of cutting-edge Data Center Infrastructure Services, dedicated to serving data center clients worldwide. With a strong commitment to delivering sustainable solutions, unparalleled reliability, and outstanding customer service, Salute has established itself as a pioneer in the industry. The company focuses on maintaining the highest standards in data center operations, ensuring that client facilities are managed with precision and care to meet the complex demands of modern hyperscale data centers. Salute’s innovative approach to infrastructure services combines advanced technology, expert staffing, and strict adherence to environmental and safety guidelines to create optimal operating environments for data centers around the globe.
The role of Lead Day Porter at Salute represents a critical leadership position within the data center operations team. This position requires managing a team of ten or more porters responsible for maintaining pristine, "mission-critical" facility conditions. The Lead Day Porter serves as the essential link between the field staff and client leadership, guiding daily operations and ensuring that both safety and quality standards meet the exacting expectations of hyperscale clients. This role blends supervisory responsibilities with hands-on custodial duties, making it ideal for a candidate who is both a skilled manager and a dedicated team player.
Candidates for this position will be responsible for scheduling shifts, managing timesheets, conducting quality assurance and quality control audits, and ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards. The Lead Day Porter must be proficient with Microsoft Office and facility management systems to track work orders and maintenance tickets, demonstrating strong organizational and technical skills. Additionally, this role requires excellent communication abilities to build and maintain strong client relations by providing professional and error-free reporting on facility status.
Salute offers a comprehensive benefits package that highlights its commitment to employee well-being. Benefits include eight company-paid holidays, two floating holidays, paid time off (PTO), and full medical, dental, and vision coverage available from day one of employment, with coverage starting the first of the month after 30 days. Additional perks include an Employee Assistance Program for mental health, an employer-supported 401(k) plan with immediate 100 percent vesting and generous matching contributions, health savings accounts (HSA), gym discounts, and access to discounted group programs covering legal services, home and auto insurance, pet insurance, and identity theft protection.
This role is a standard full-time position with typical working hours from Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. The salary range is competitive, between $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, determined by factors including experience, skills, and location. Salute values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all applicants. This creates a dynamic, supportive work environment where employees can thrive and contribute to the revolutionary effort in data center infrastructure. If you are a motivated individual with experience in supervisory roles, excellent leadership capabilities, and a passion for maintaining high standards in data center environments, this is a compelling opportunity to join a future-focused team and advance your career.
