Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Minimum two years cooking experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Unexpired Arizona food certifications
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Ability to use point of sale system
  • Ability to use employee self-service on human resources payroll database
  • Regular attendance required
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting between twenty-five and fifty pounds
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain good personal hygiene
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and use safety equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred but not required
  • Minimum two years cooking experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Previous lead or working supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques culinary terminology and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients including cutting chopping and marinating as well as following recipes to cook dishes accurately and efficiently
  • Grill saute bake fry or cook menu items to order ensuring all dishes meet taste and presentation standards
  • Monitor food quality throughout cooking process
  • Understand food and beverage menus including ingredients cooking techniques and allergen information to answer guest questions and make recommendations
  • Monitor inventory levels communicate with management for timely ordering and minimize waste through portioning and storage practices
  • Keep a clean sanitary prepared and organized workspace throughout shift including tables shelves grills broilers fryers pasta cookers refrigeration equipment and other areas
  • Take out trash when needed
  • May be scheduled to work at banquet events
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings taste tests and training
  • Wash dishes and pots operate dish washing equipment and store clean dishes and pots
  • Conform with all safety standards and use appropriate safety equipment
  • Follow good personal hygiene guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
