Job Description

Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent foodservice and hospitality company known for operating concession, premium dining, and retail services at major venues. Job Requirements

  • At least four years of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to and from freezers and ovens
  • Ability to reach up to seven feet, twist, bend, and squat
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels
  • Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
  • Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime as needed, and be on call
  • Ability to work in variable temperature environments

Job Qualifications

  • At least four years of experience in a back-of-the-house food service position
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • Basic math skills to calculate and follow recipe measurements
  • No high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties

  • Review menus and customer orders to determine food types and quantities to prepare and comply with portion sizes, quality standards, and policies
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
  • Package all products to proper specifications
  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • Maintain kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheets
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory according to guidelines
