This full-time Cook Lead position located in Malibu, CA 90265 offers an exciting opportunity to join Morrison Healthcare’s dedicated team. The role is structured with a Monday through Wednesday schedule, from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm, and offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $25.00 per hour. As a Cook Lead, you will direct the activities of culinary associates during your shift, ensuring that job expectations and policies are adhered to within a large-scale food production environment. This position calls for a candidate with over three years of culinary experience and knowledge of standard techniques and cuisines, as well as at least one year of supervisory experience.

The Cook Lead’s responsibilities encompass preparing schedules, delivering training to culinary staff, evaluating employee performance, managing reporting duties, and fostering a productive and positive work atmosphere. You will serve as the key contact for employee concerns and assist in mentoring team members to encourage professional development. Job Requirements

  • 3+ years experience developing culinary skills and knowledge of standard techniques and cuisines for large scale food production
  • 1+ years prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be available to work full time Monday through Wednesday 5:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
