Job Description
REV Collective is an innovative new cafe and drive-thru concept opening soon in Meridian, Idaho. This independent and owner-operated establishment emphasizes a health-conscious kitchen philosophy, focusing on breakfast and simple lunch items made with real ingredients, all cooked from scratch. The cafe is committed to sourcing locally whenever possible, avoiding seed oils, and using real fats to create food that not only tastes delicious but also contributes positively to customers' well-being. As a fresh addition to the Meridian dining scene, REV Collective combines wholesome food with a strong dedication to quality and community values, creating a unique experience for its guests. The concept steers clear of corporate templates, choosing instead to prioritize authenticity, creativity, and a hands-on approach to delivering exceptional food and service.
The role of Lead Cook & Chef at REV Collective is a foundational position destined for someone who desires more than merely following an existing menu. This full-time position located at 1630 S. Eagle Rd in Meridian offers a competitive salary dependent on experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and finalizing the menu alongside ownership before the grand opening. Their responsibilities will span building recipes, setting quality and prep standards, and leading the kitchen team in daily operations within a brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring chef who wants to influence the culinary direction and make a significant impact in the Treasure Valley community.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional kitchen experience – preferably in roles such as lead cook, sous chef, or kitchen manager – and will have a strong background in scratch cooking at volume, with the ability to maintain speed, consistency, and cleanliness even during busy service periods. They will share REV Collective’s commitment to ingredient transparency and health-focused cooking, want to collaborate in sourcing ingredients locally, and bring a builder’s mindset to create systems and standards from the ground up. Leadership skills are essential, as the lead cook will be responsible for training, coaching, and managing the kitchen team, ensuring a clean, well-organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
This position offers more than just a job; it presents a chance to be a founding member of a new concept, shaping the menu and the kitchen culture from conception through ongoing operations. The candidate will work closely with the owner in a fully equipped kitchen featuring top-tier appliances like griddles, ranges, and combi ovens. Early morning, weekend, and pre-opening hours are expected as part of this immersive opportunity.
Joining REV Collective means being part of a team that values real creative input and genuine collaboration. The company fosters an environment where ideas are appreciated and ownership is encouraged, building towards an operation anchored in quality, values, and culinary excellence. For an up-and-coming chef eager to carve out a name and reputation within the Treasure Valley’s vibrant food scene, this role offers a unique pathway to professional growth and achievement.
