We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to become a key member of the culinary team at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Buffet. This full-time role demands a culinary professional passionate about delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences. The Lead Cook will be responsible for overseeing a section of the buffet, ensuring that every dish served meets the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation. This position requires strong leadership to manage and mentor kitchen staff while collaborating closely with the executive chef and management to innovate and refine the buffet menu.
In this role, the Lead Cook will prepare a diverse range of dishes and uphold consistency across all offerings. You will play an essential part in maintaining inventory controls and minimizing food waste, contributing to the efficient operation of our kitchen. A deep understanding of cooking techniques, flavors, ingredient combinations, and food safety protocols is necessary to succeed. Additionally, the Lead Cook will ensure strict adherence to sanitation and food safety standards, upholding the resort’s reputation for culinary excellence.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years cooking or culinary experience
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Willingness to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen
- Adherence to appearance standards including no visible tattoos or unnatural hair colors
- Compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

- Collaborate with executive chef and management to update buffet menu with new dishes and seasonal variations
- Lead and manage kitchen staff ensuring adherence to standardized recipes and portion sizes
- Train and mentor kitchen team in cooking techniques and food safety
- Assist in inventory control and manage food costs to minimize waste
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in kitchen operations
- Interact with guests to accommodate special dietary requests and ensure satisfaction
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for seamless buffet service
- Stay updated on culinary trends and contribute to menu improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
