The culinary associate is responsible for preparing special meals, regulating cooking temperatures, managing food storage and thawing processes, maintaining food logs, and ensuring proper portioning and presentation. This role requires close communication with chefs and food and beverage staff regarding menu specials or stock shortages. Additionally, the associate assists in supervising kitchen operations to uphold quality standards and food safety. They also contribute to team dynamics by supporting, motivating, and coaching teammates and maintaining professionalism in appearance and conduct. The role involves physical activity, including standing or walking for extended periods and handling items weighing up to 25 pounds. The job also encompasses adherence to safety and security policies, reporting hazards, and maintaining confidentiality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items
