This full-time Lead Cook position is based at the Keiser University Flagship Campus and offers an hourly pay range of $18 to $20. The role involves afternoon and evening shifts on varying days, with specific schedules communicated during the interview process. The Lead Cook at Sodexo is more than just a cook; it is a leadership role focused on teamwork, food quality, and customer service. The position requires a professional who can prepare and present diverse hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

As the Lead Cook, you will be instrumental in minimizing food waste by efficiently managing ingredient use while ensuring food safety and quality standards. You will operate a grill station and serve food in certain settings, supporting both cafeteria-style and a la carte service. Additionally, the role includes providing support to management by overseeing day-to-day operations and staff supervision, ensuring a cohesive and pleasant working environment. Punctuality and reliability are critical as you will be expected to report for scheduled shifts on time with consistent attendance.

Job Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of related cooking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
