The Lead Cook position at Sodexo, located at Emerson Electric Company UPA in Clayton, presents an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about food quality and customer service. This part-time role offers competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $23.00 per hour with a morning shift schedule that varies across days. As a Lead Cook, you will take responsibility for preparing and cooking nutritious and appealing food items across various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered special events. This role demands efficiency and accuracy in following recipes while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will be a key player in reducing food waste and enhancing the dining experience for customers. You will prepare and portion food, operate a grill station if required, and may also serve customers in an a la carte setting. Beyond cooking duties, the Lead Cook will assist management with daily operational oversight and employee coordination. Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • may prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • may support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
