Job Requirements

  • must have associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of three years related work experience in luxury hospitality environment
  • at least two years traditional concierge experience
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to communicate effectively and manage office tasks
  • ability to work flexible hours including Tuesday through Saturday
  • ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • must be a team player
  • ability to handle stress and work under pressure
  • must have intermediate computer skills
  • capable of lifting up to 20 lbs
  • able to stand, sit, reach, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods
  • able to work at a computer and talk on the phone for extended periods
  • willingness to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe environment

Job Qualifications

  • associates degree with concentration in hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • strong hospitality and concierge background
  • three plus years of related work experience in a luxury hospitality environment
  • two plus years of traditional concierge experience assisting with personal services such as restaurant reservations
  • strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • self-starter with excellent communication, office management, interpersonal, customer service and telephone skills
  • excellent listening skills to interact with diverse and multi-culture population
  • ability to withstand stress and work under pressure
  • ability to prioritize work with minimum supervision
  • must function in a team organized environment
  • bilingual preferred
  • intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows software
  • experience with property management software, Vertilinc, a plus

Job Duties

  • work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • assure that desk collateral and information for restaurants, museums, attractions, maps, and other local attractions are updated and current
  • know what activities are available in the city including theatre, sports, concerts, shows, special exhibits, sightseeing and establish close contacts with vendors to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for residents
  • handle all concierge requests and itineraries including restaurant reservations, transportation requests, floral arrangements, balloon and decoration requests, laundry, vendor recommendations, dog sitting and grooming, babysitter recommendation, tutors
  • assist residents with setting up their FPL, dry cleaning and Hotwire accounts in the unit
  • organize team appreciation events including employee of the quarter, birthdays and anniversaries
  • check amenity inventories to ensure they are fully stocked and inspect cleanliness
  • replenish supplies for media room, breakfast, and all amenities
  • organize weekly carwash, track reservations and assist with payment details
  • source and meet vendors to recommend to residents
  • assist Curator of Hospitality with special events
  • assist in the creation of the monthly newsletter
  • ensure the telephone is answered properly and messages are handled courteously, accurately and in a timely manner
  • ensure emails are responded to within 24 hours
  • maintain, update and coordinate resident information in computer database daily
  • manage receiving activities including processing deliveries, vendor requests and move-ins/outs, track vendors certificates of insurance and schedule activities in the management database
  • follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • perform other duties as required
