The Lead Concessions Runner role at Oak View Group is a crucial position within the Food and Beverage (F&B) operations team responsible for ensuring smooth concessions service at OVG managed venues. This role is tasked with leading and supervising a team of Concessions Runners who perform essential warehouse functions such as inventory management, receiving shipments, clean-up duties, and transferring products between event sites. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of hospitality or similar venue experience
- valid ServSafe Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain
- alcohol service certification or ability to obtain
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift heavy objects frequently
- must maintain excellent attendance
- pass necessary background and security checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of hospitality or similar venue experience
- food/alcohol service certification preferred
- ability to communicate professionally and courteously with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
- ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and under pressure
- ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
- valid ServSafe Food Handlers and alcohol service certification or ability to obtain
- thorough working knowledge of applicable sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service policies, safety standards
- ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory
- consistent adherence to highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to reach, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- ability to frequently lift heavy objects
Job Duties
- Assist with receiving and distribution control for F&B in the venue
- maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas
- fulfill all event expectations including delivering product to stands during events, post-event clean-up and break-down, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance
- ensure appropriate stocking levels are met for each stand for each event
- rotate products FIFO and maintain product integrity
- ensure proper transfer process of products between locations including follow-up documentation
- clean and maintain concession and other F&B equipment including portable equipment, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting
- conduct walk-through of warehouse and storage areas after the day to ensure cleanliness
- check out NPOs, subcontractors, and other concession runners at end of events ensuring cleanup and stock put away
- maintain thorough working knowledge of all concession locations, equipment, and evacuation procedures
