Job Description

CPLC Centro De La Familia (CDLF) is a vital outpatient behavioral health service provider dedicated to supporting individuals and families of all ages within diverse communities. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, CDLF offers a wide array of counseling and therapy services tailored to those experiencing serious mental illness, general mental health challenges, and substance use issues. The organization supports clients facing a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. Established within the community, CDLF stands out due to its flexible office hours, availability of home-based services especially for children and families, accessible locations via public transit, bilingual therapy options in English and Spanish, and a professional staff skilled in evidence-based treatment methodologies.

The role of Lead Clinician at CPLC Centro De La Familia is a unique opportunity for a behavioral health professional to enhance their clinical leadership skills while making a significant impact in the community. This full-time position is based at 6850 W. Indian School Rd and offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 DOE and licensure. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, allowing for a focus on work-life balance. The Lead Clinician will take on a dual role of clinical leadership and direct client service delivery, overseeing a team of Case Managers and administrative staff while managing their own clinical caseload.

Key to this leadership position is the responsibility to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services aimed at improving overall mental health outcomes and well-being for clients. The Lead Clinician will conduct comprehensive assessments, oversee treatment planning, and coordinate interdisciplinary care both within office environments and dynamic community settings. This position requires a strong understanding of community mental health systems, the ability to assess DSM-based symptoms accurately, and provide routine, urgent, and emergent interventions onsite, in the field, and through telehealth.

Furthermore, the Lead Clinician will apply American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria for service planning and decision-making to support clients with substance use disorders. The role demands strong communication skills for engaging clients across cultures and delivering services with professionalism and cultural sensitivity. The Lead Clinician also plays a critical role in upholding documentation standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering effective collaboration with community partners. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to program development and improve service outcomes through leadership, clinical expertise, and community engagement.

This role includes clinical supervision responsibilities, contributing to staff development through coaching, training, and performance management to strengthen clinical practice and enhance client impact. The Lead Clinician will collaborate closely with program and clinical leadership to manage productivity, support workflow, and balance caseloads among the team. This is a role for an experienced, compassionate leader who thrives in a community-based environment and is committed to continued professional development and making a positive difference in behavioral health.
