Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a veterinary environment preferred
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Familiarity with multi-line telephone systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise receptionists including hiring firing and evaluating performance
  • Review time reporting enforce company policies and communicate new practices and policies regarding reception duties
  • Schedule receptionists according to staffing needs serving as a receptionist as needed
  • Receive client complaints and concerns regarding reception escalating issues to Hospital Manager as needed
  • Maintain specialist non-emergency doctors scheduling information and changes
  • Count cash and/or balance daily transactions balance cash drawer and make change as needed
  • Process refunds returns and credits as needed by location
  • Organize and process all payment plans and held checks as needed by location obtaining approvals as necessary
  • Perform bi-monthly billing statements and collections as well as end-of-month closing reports as required by location
  • Serve as back-up to Hospital Manager for maintenance or building issue resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
