The Shift Lead role at ABM is a pivotal supervisory position responsible for ensuring that all facility operations comply with company policies and procedures. The Shift Lead works at the assigned site, providing leadership and support during shifts when the building Manager is not present. This role includes coordinating daily operations by delegating tasks, offering guidance to team members, monitoring work quality, and maintaining communication between the management team and field employees. Operating specialized cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely are important functions of this job, alongside carrying out general janitorial duties. The Shift Lead is also entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility environment for all workers and customers.
Working shifts from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday between 6:30 pm and 5:00 am in Wilmington, Illinois, this role offers an hourly wage of $18.50, with variations based on experience and qualifications. Additional responsibilities include overseeing supply inventories, managing keys and access cards, reporting maintenance needs, training new hires, and ensuring adherence to scheduling and client requirements. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- At least 1 year of similar work experience
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
- Ability to follow work schedules and procedures
- Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of similar work experience
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
