With an annual revenue nearing $8 billion and more than 100,000 employees stationed across over 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM stands as a powerhouse in the facility services industry. The company offers a comprehensive array of services spanning janitorial work, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy management including electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscaping, turf management, and mission-critical solutions. Its clientele ranges widely, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and many others. ABM is committed to equal employment opportunities, valuing diversity and inclusiveness by not discriminating based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected category. Additionally, ABM is military-friendly and offers specialized support for veterans looking to transition into civilian roles. The company employs modern hiring practices such as the Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility. Beyond this, ABM prioritizes accommodation for individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a strong commitment to support and accessibility throughout the hiring process.

This particular role is for a Shift Leader at ABM, with a pay rate fixed at $20.59 per hour. The Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in leading and supervising facility operations during assigned shifts, particularly stepping in when the facility Manager is absent. This position is well-suited for individuals either entering the workforce for the first time or those returning with limited prior experience or education. The Shift Leader ensures all facility operations adhere strictly to established company policies and procedures, thereby maintaining a safe and clean environment for both staff and visitors. Key responsibilities include delegating job assignments, providing leadership and guidance to team members, overseeing cleaning and janitorial duties, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The role also involves handling specialized equipment and cleaning chemicals and providing training for new hires in alignment with onboarding protocols. Moreover, the Shift Leader maintains communication between field employees and management and manages access control through keys and access cards. This Monday to Friday role works from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, offering a structured work schedule with substantial opportunities for growth and skill advancement.
